Hillary: consulted to death?

Sat Jan 05, 2008 at 03:45:50 PM PDT

It was obvious when Hillary ran for Senate in 2000, she was really running for President.

It was obvious that her manifestly conscious tilt to the right as a Senator, supporting a flag-burning amendment, sundry votes supporting Bush policies, including the fateful support for the Iraq War resolution, were all the actions of a triangulating Presidential candidate.

It was obvious from her hard "iron-lady" neocon-lite rhetoric that she was trying to push back against the widely propagated (and false) right-wing meme that she is a raging liberal.  Presidents must build consensus among the American people, after all.

CA-44 Democratic Candidates Issue Joint Statement

Tue Nov 06, 2007 at 03:27:56 PM PDT

This is a joint statement by California 44th Congressional District Democratic Candidates Bill Hedrick and Louis Vandenberg regarding postings on the California Inland Empire Craigslist and the Daily Kos.  The Daily Kos posting is entitled "Democratic Candidate for Congress Accused . . . and I am Pissed."  The link to the diary posting is: http://www.dailykos.com/... .  Together, we condemn this posting as nonsense and baseless slander.  Our statements follow:

CA-44: To Repeal the Bush Presidency

Sun Sep 24, 2006 at 02:22:20 AM PDT

I'm Louis Vandenberg, candidate for Congress in California's 44th district (http://www.vandenbergforcongress.com) reporting in again from the campaign trail to dKos for another diary.  I did an interview a few weeks back with Charles Case, a  writer whose work appears in The Hill, the newspaper of Congress.  The subsequent published article contained only a few sentences from a longer exchange.  Charles has given me permission to use the full unpublished interview.  In it, I go into a lot of areas, covering much of my campaign effort, my motivations, my thoughts on the political landscape. It begins below the fold . . .

CA-44: Opposing the Bush "Old Deal" Social Contract

Tue Sep 19, 2006 at 04:35:32 PM PDT

Greetings, Kossacks. I'm Louis Vandenberg, the Democratic nominee in the CA-44 congressional district (http://www.vandenbergforcongress.com ).

I have been told of several diaries here which referenced me, my district and my opponent, Ken Calvert.  One recent diary, by UCRJames (http://ucrjames.dailykos.com ), generated enough buzz to make me curious to check out DailyKos for myself.  You could spend all day and all night here.  It seems that many do.  Some thoughts below the fold. . .
